FRANCHISE MAKES A TOP IMPRESSION
DUNDALK-BASED Car Medic was announced as winners of the Judges Special Merit Award in the Best Emerging Franchise Category at the Ulster Bank Irish Franchise Association Awards 2011 last Friday at Croke Park.
The award ceremony was presented by TV and Newstalk radio personality, Síle Seoige, and it recognises excellence in franchising and rewards outstanding achievements of businesses and individuals in the franchise industry.
The independent judging panel for the 2011 Ulster Bank Irish Franchise Association Awards included Irish Dragon and Newstalk Presenter Bobby Kerr; Orna Stokes, Head of Specialist Sectors, Ulster Bank; Orla Nugent, MBA Programme Director, UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School; Greg Swift of Dublin County Enterprise Board and Cian O Mongain from the Sunday Business Post.
Multi award winning Car Medic, based locally on the Newry Road, entered the Irish franchising market at the 2010 Irish Franchise Association Expo held at Croke Park and just one year on Car Medic have won the Judges Special Merit Award in the Best Emerging Franchise Category.
Car Medic began trading in late 2009 and to-date they have taken the franchise world by storm.
‘Our business model suits this price sensitive market with our repairs often being up to 70 per cent cheaper than bodyshop prices,’ says Paul.
Car Medic are about to roll out their ninth franchise after just one year and are actively seeking to grow the network through 2011.
